Dana P. Basballe's career in financial services began shortly after he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from St. Cloud State Univiersity in May 1995.  He began working with PriveVest Financial Services that next week and continued through most of the next year. 

In the later part of 1996 he became a Sales Assistant for several brokers at the Edina office of Dain Bosworth.  In June of 1997 the position of Investment Officer at Peoples State Bank in Plainview became available and he worked with the bank through June of 2002. 

In July of 2002 he became self-employed as an independent financial advisor (although to this day he still rents space form Peoples State Bank in their Plainview branch).  In addition, in January of 2008 Dana recieved the Certified Financial Planning designation, what many consider to be the "gold standard" in fianancial planning.

Dana has served our community in many other ways as well:

  • Served in the Minnesota Army National Guard as a Combat Medic from 1989 to 1998, achieving the rank of Sergeant,
  • Assistant Coach to the PEM Elementary wrestling program from 1997 through 2007,
  • Finance Committee member for the Girl Scout Council of River Trails from 1998 through 2007,
  • Officer of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce Toastmaster Too! Club, 1998 through the present,
  • Member of Peace United Church of Christ in Rochester, Minnesota.

 Dana's ambition is to assist clients in defining and achieving true wealth in their lives through:
